Mediumship

The Church runs various mediumship events throughout each year including evenings of mediumship/clairvoyance with some of the best mediums in the United Kingdom.

Clairvoyance

A person who is Clairvoyant can see spirits. This usually means that they see the person communicating in their mind's eye, which can be in the form of a picture or like watching a television in your head.

Some mediums can see spirits with their physical eyes as if there is another person in the same room as themselves. The medium will then describe what they see to whoever is having a reading.

It is not always people that mediums see, it can also be animals or even objects and symbols. Some objects will be given to the medium to be interpreted symbolically.

Spirit Guides

A guide can be anybody, but often they have lived on earth many centuries ago. Because of the time spent in spirit, they have become highly developed in spiritual ways. They chose to remain close to the earth life, and act as a link and teacher. Many mediums will often tell of their guide as a Native American Indian, or from some other exotic race. The reason is simply that Native American Indians for example, lived a very spiritual existence, and also believed in their own psychic skills. Based on these backgrounds, they are ideally suited to spiritual work.

But it is not always the case the level of spirituality dictates if they are able to take on the work, not the background. A guide could also be, as some mediums report, someone they knew in a previous life, or indeed a family member. Whoever the guide is, and from what ever background, the medium will always have an affinity with them. It is this familiarity that bonds them and allows them to work closely together. And always remember that like attracts like, so if you are of a gentle nature then that is the nature that you will attract to you.

Spiritualist Mediums

Spiritualist Mediums or "Clairvoyant Mediums" work with Spirit to bring messages to the bereaved from their loved ones in Spirit. The Church holds regular divine services and evenings of clairvoyance, which are open to the public. Stratford-upon-Avon Spiritualist Church can also arrange private sittings, and can recommend a number of local mediums including The Clairvoyant Cousins.
