The church was founded in the early 1960's by Mr & Mrs Burton,
       Mr & Mrs Newman, Mrs Parkin, Ms Millie Knighting and her
       brother. The first building to house the church was The Firs, Rother
       St., Stratford. This building has since been demolished and the
       Police Station now stands there. The Church then moved to the
       back of the Rose and Crown public house in Sheep St.. By all
       accounts, those who attended said they had plenty of spirits there,
       due partly to all the bottles displayed around the room! From
       there we moved to the Liberal Rooms in Ely St. then to the Youth
       Club in Tyler St. then to Shottery  From Shottery we moved to
       our present location, Great William Street.
